The inaugural edition in 2019 resulted from a partnership between Southeast Missouri State University, the Specialized Court for the Environment (VEMAQA), the Federal Institute of Amazonas (IFAM), the Soka Institute, and the Gaviam Institute. The success of this initiative has driven the realization of this second congress, maintaining high standards of excellence. It is worth noting that the 1st International Congress on Fauna and Flora of the Amazon resulted in the publication of the proceedings of the event, containing 200 carefully selected full papers by a scientific committee, following the criteria established by the organizing committee.
